"Why Daily Check-Ins Matter More Than You Think"

False Belief:  "I can do this on my own. I don't need to check in; no one really cares anyways."

Success Requires More Than Just Effort

You’ve probably been here before: you sign up for a 30-day health challenge with every intention to crush it. You’ve got your workout clothes ready, your meal plan printed, and your motivation at an all-time high. But then life happens—work gets busy, the kids need extra attention, or that nagging back pain flares up again. A few days slip by, and before you know it, your excitement fizzles out. Sound familiar?

Here’s the thing—a 30-day challenge can be life-changing, but only if you stay consistent. And that’s where most people stumble. Without regular check-ins, it’s easy to lose sight of your progress, feel overwhelmed, or worse, feel like you’re failing. Many people think they can go it alone, but the truth is, not having daily accountability can make this journey feel like climbing a mountain without a map. You’re trying to figure it out by yourself, but every step feels uncertain, and soon the frustration builds.

It doesn’t have to be that way. Daily check-ins with your coach and community can act as your compass. They keep you on track, offer real-time feedback, and, most importantly, remind you that you’re not in this alone.

Here’s How It Works:

  • Every day, you’ll receive an email with a link to that day's instruction or message. Click the link.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and answer the one "Question of the Day".  The question helps guide your reflection, focus, and actions. It could be about your mindset, your wins, your challenges, or your progress.
  • Check in daily by answering that question. Everyone will be sharing their thoughts there, too.
  • The cool part? We track your check-ins—and to keep it exciting, you’ll earn badges along the way as a reward for your effort and consistency.

Here Are the Badges You Can Earn:

  1. 5 Check-Ins/Comments = "Mover" Badge
This badge is awarded to those who start their transformation and begin the momentum.
  2. 10 Check-Ins/Comments = Shaker
At this stage, you’re building up steam, and your efforts are making waves.
  3. 20 Check-Ins/Comments = Maker
You’ve become a beacon of consistency and strength for yourself and others!
  4. 30 Check-Ins/Comments = Warrior
Your energy is contagious, and you’re setting an example for everyone in the community.

Your goal is to get to "Warrior" level which means you completed every day's check-in, and completed the challenge!

*Warriors are eligible to be entered into a raffle for a prize at the final party.

Myths That Hold You Back

Myth 1: "I Can Do This on My Own"

There’s a common belief that if you’re committed enough, you don’t need any outside help. But science shows otherwise. Studies indicate that having accountability significantly increases the likelihood of reaching your goals (Harkin et al., 2016). Checking in with your coach provides that external motivation and accountability, keeping you moving forward even when your internal motivation starts to wane.

Myth 2: "If I Miss a Day, I’ve Failed"

This all-or-nothing mentality can be paralyzing. One missed workout, one less-than-perfect meal, and we start to spiral. But checking in with your coach helps you reframe these moments as learning opportunities, not failures. Your coach can guide you back on track, reminding you that it’s about progress, not perfection.

Myth 3: "Daily Check-Ins Are Too Time-Consuming"

Many people worry that checking in daily is too much of a time commitment. But the truth is, most daily check-ins are quick and can be done in minutes. In return, you get personalized feedback, motivation, and the chance to adjust your plan in real-time, which ultimately saves you time and frustration.

3 Ways To Stay Consistent With Check-Ins

1. Schedule Your Check-In Like an Appointment

Just like you wouldn’t skip a doctor’s appointment or an important meeting, make your daily check-in a non-negotiable part of your day. Put it on your calendar and set a reminder. According to research, people who schedule their goals and set clear reminders are more likely to follow through (Prestwich et al., 2010).

Tip: Set a daily reminder on your phone at the same time each day for consistency.

2. Check Your Email Same Time Each Day

We send an email around the same time each day. Get in the habit of checking it at that time. Make it your self-care time. Your whole day will go better and smoother.

3. Build It Into an Existing Routine

Pair your check-in with something you already do every day, like doing your morning moves or drinking your morning coffee. This method is called habit stacking, and research shows it increases the likelihood of sticking to new habits (Lally et al., 2010).

How To Win More Badges!

You can also earn badges by engaging and uplifting the community because, let’s face it, when you lift someone else up, you lift yourself up too! Here's how:

  1. Replying to Other People's Comments:
    • 5 Replies = Support Giver
    • 10 Replies = Encouragement Enthusiast
    • 20 Replies = Encouragement Expert
    • 30 Replies = Community Builder
  2. The Number of Upvotes (Thumbs Up) You Receive on Comments:
    • 5 Upvotes = Positivity Starter
    • 10 Upvotes = Vibe Raiser
    • 20 Upvotes = Uplift Hero
    • 30 Upvotes = Community Energizer
  3. If Your Comment Gets "Featured" by Us:
    • 1 Featured Comment = Standout Supporter
    • 2 Featured Comments = Impact Influencer
    • 3 Featured Comments = Motivation Master
    • 4 Featured Comments = Transformational Leader

Why do this?    The more you engage with others in the challenge, the better your results will be. And it’s not just about checking in—it’s about creating a positive ripple effect. When you engage with others, reply to their comments, and support their journey, you’re building a stronger, more empowered community. And guess what? That energy comes back to you tenfold.
