How Does This Work, How Does It Help?

Having painful joints/muscles, headaches, digestive problems, fatigue, sadness, depression, lack of motivation, or any other "issues," doesn't mean you are broken. It's just a situation you are going through and it can be resolved.

The sensations you are feeling in your body is simply your body telling the mind that it's doing its job. When feeling pain, it's telling you there's an issue somewhere and it's trying to heal it. When feeling sore, it's telling you it's healing the muscles you just exercised so that weakness can leave your body. So, don't worry or else you'll get in the way of the healing.

Your body and mind are two separate entities. They can either work together or against each other.

Think of your mind and body like two teammates rowing a boat together. When they’re in sync, rowing in the same direction, the boat glides smoothly across the water. But if the body feels pain and the mind starts to worry—panic sets in, and the mind starts rowing in the opposite direction. Now, instead of moving forward, the boat just spins in circles, wasting energy and going nowhere.

To heal, the mind needs to calm down, take a breath, and row in harmony with the body. Only then can the boat move forward, allowing the body to recover and regain strength. When the mind and body work together, they create momentum and healing. But when the mind fights against the body’s signals, it slows everything down.

Now, how can the mind help the body (and not get in its way)?

  • Tip: Do the Silent Release consistently and you'll train your mind to trust your body and work together with it. Instead of mentally fighting the pain/sensations, allow them to be. Simply observe them without judgement and remind yourself it's not life threatening.* This accelerates the healing instead of preventing it.  If you don't learn how to calm the mind and work with your body, the injuries and wounds may never heal.

*If the sensations you are feeling have come on suddenly and are hallmark symptoms for heart attack or stroke, that's a different matter and you should call 911.
