DISCLAIMER:  This food sometimes gets bad press (from ignorant sources) because it can increase blood sugar more rapidly than let's say broccoli or other grains.  But what few people don't understand is the issue isn't with spiking blood sugar in the body but whether or not your body can regulate blood sugar effectively (meaning properly stabilize it once it's spiked).
